Windsor staged an entertaining eight-race evening card on fast ground, with sprint races dominating the early part of the programme before middle-distance handicaps closed the meeting. The card produced several authoritative juvenile performances, a notable 18/1 handicap surprise, and a successful evening for jockey Jack Mitchell, who recorded a double.
Race 1 – Fenchurch Insurance Brokers Handicap (5f, Class 4)
Ross Burdon’s Mesaafi made a winning seasonal return, getting up late under Jack Mitchell to land the opening sprint at 7/2. The gelding narrowly denied Solar Edge (9/1) by a neck, with **Moulin Booj** (13/2) a head away in third after a tightly fought finish.
The race was run at a strong tempo and the winning time of 57.34 seconds was 0.56 seconds faster than standard, confirming the benefit of the quick ground for front-rank sprinters.
Result:
1st Mesaafi (7/2)
2nd Solar Edge (9/1)
3rd Moulin Booj (13/2)

Race 2 – Pourou Garhigh Anniversary EBF Restricted Novice Stakes (Div I) (5f)
James Owen’s juvenile Envision justified market confidence with an impressive success. Ridden by Silvestre De Sousa, the 2/1 chance showed plenty of speed before drawing clear by 3¾ lengths from My Boo Boo (8/1).
The manner of victory suggested the winner could quickly progress beyond restricted novice company.
Result:
1st Envision (2/1)
2nd My Boo Boo (8/1)
3rd Lola (14/1)

2nd Belardo Ace (7/2)
3rd Our Fella (66/1)
—
Race 4 – Ravens Roofing Supplies Fillies’ Novice Stakes (6f)
The meeting’s shortest-priced winner arrived in the shape of Gold Digger, who justified prohibitive odds of 1/5. Saffie Osborne always looked in control aboard Richard Spencer’s filly, who travelled smoothly before asserting in the closing stages.
Although not winning spectacularly, the favourite never appeared in danger and maintained her unbeaten profile.
Result:
1st Gold Digger (1/5 Fav)
2nd Ventana (14/1)
3rd March Of Time (6/1)
—
Race 5 – Fitzdares Sprint Series Handicap (6f, Class 3)
The feature sprint produced the upset of the evening as River Spey scored at 18/1 for Ed Walker and George Downing.
In a competitive contest featuring several well-fancied runners, River Spey finished strongly to defeat joint-favourite **Comical Point** by half a length, with fellow 4/1 joint-favourite Amorim taking third.
The withdrawal of Lara Antipova at the stalls reduced the field to ten, but the race still delivered one of the most rewarding betting results of the card.
Result:
1st River Spey (18/1)
2nd Comical Point (4/1 Joint-Fav)
3rd Amorim (4/1 Joint-Fav)

Race 6 – Don & Low Champions Cup 2026 Handicap (1m 3½f)
Neil Mulholland’s Guinness Lad returned to winning form under Taylor Fisher, overcoming market leader Just Adair to score by 1¼ lengths.

1st Guinness Lad (7/2)
2nd Just Adair (15/8 Fav)
3rd Stintino Sunset (13/2)

Race 7 – Marley Solar Roof System “Confined” Handicap (1m 2f)
